The emblematic French photographer, photojournalist, and documentarian captured – both in still and moving images –the transformation of Europe and its people after the radical advent of the modern. At the same time, he renewed the genre of cinema verité, focusing on unexpected faces and the secret mechanisms of public life. In his first visit in Thessaloniki, he will present his most recent work (which he co-authors with his wife, Claudine Nougaret), where he crosses his country to deliver his own film diaries.
