My Extraordinary Summer with Tess

Mijn bijzonder rare week met Tess

60th TIFF: Greek Premiere

Sam is spending a summer holiday week with his family and is tormented by the thought that, being the youngest child, one day he will be left alone, as his family will surely die before him. To prepare himself against the inevitable, Sam embarks on a made-up “aloneness training.” His “training” comes to a halt when he runs into Tess, a girl seemingly even quirkier than him. When she finally reveals her secret, Sam starts to realize that seeking detachment from the ones you love does not enable you to overcome loneliness.
