Lasting Marks

Lasting Marks

21st TDF: Greek Premiere

The story of sixteen homosexual men put on trial for sadomasochism in the dying days of Thatcher’s Britain and publicly humiliated by the police, the prosecution and the tabloid press. Only this time, they are the ones to tell their story, a story of wounds never to have healed. A documentary about a dark period of the British society, when anything out of the ordinary was demonized. A painful reminder of “'normality’s” inherent violence.
