Syrakos Danalis – Journey to the Light

The veteran of cinematography Syrakos Danales (1927-2017) joins us on a journey to the light. He recounts his experiences as a cinematographer in the films of Takis Kanellopoulos, Panos Glykofrides, Tonia Marketaki and other major Greek directors. He reminds us of his contribution to the Greek documentary genre and the TV series produced by ERT (the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation) during the political change-over after the fall of the military junta. He then surprises us with his creative shift towards painting in recent years in his workshop on the island of Aegina.
