Vive la fuite

“Vive la fuite!” was the life motto of Alexis Akrithakis, a major Greek artist who spent the most prolific period of his artistic career in Berlin. A romantic, unconventional painter, a dreamer with a touching, childlike quality, an impulsive seeker of experiences who identified with the myth of the “damned” artist in the most unpretentious and entirely experiential way.
