Symbol of indignation and rebellion, The Grapes of Wrath written by John Steinbeck and published in 1939 caused a scandal. 80 years later, the themes tackled in the novel are current more than ever: labour, justice, capitalism devastation, financialization of the economy, migrants… Featuring movie excerpts and current footage, unseen audiovisual archives and correspondences of Steinbeck, interviews with historians, Steinbeck specialists and writers, the film will guide us into the analysis of a cult book that became prophetic.
