Keita is a 8-year-old boy from a Belgian-Japanese family. During the summer break, he spends two weeks with his grandparents at the Flemish countryside. Keita has a difficult relationship with his grandfather and they are both put to the test when they are forced to live under the same roof.

Miwako Van Weyenberg

Miwako Van Weyenberg is a Belgian director and screenwriter. She was born and raised in Brussels, spending her summers with family in Tokyo. As a child, Miwako was drawn to the audiovisual world through Japanese tv commercials. With her first short Hitorikko, Miwako won the VAF Wildcard 2014, the biggest short film award in Belgium. Shortly after being nominated at several international film festivals with Hitorikko, she finished her master’s graduation film at RITCS School of Arts, Il Faisait Noir. Currently, Miwako is working on her next fiction short, funded by the Flemish Audiovisual Fund.
