Two inseparable sisters, in the 1950s Rio de Janeiro, are forced to part ways. Guida has no choice but to raise her out of marriage child on her own, while Eurídice is forced to abandon her passion for the piano and settle for a loveless marriage. A shrewd evocation of the Orpheus and Eurydice myth, but, most importantly, a declaration of profound respect for the resilience of women. A tribute to the countless women who were deprived of the freedom to wield their body and mind according to their own desires, victimized by the suffocating rules of patriarchy.
