This surprising exercise of coming-of-age cinema, and poignant commentary on masculinity as a social construction, starts with the experiment of a man, who sends a boy on a quest into the scary night. The boy manages to conquer his fears but back at home, a painful twist hurts beyond anything he went through the night.

Gjorce Stavreski

Gjorce Stavreski is an award-winning director, screenwriter, and producer from North Macedonia. He graduated from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Skopje at the department of film directing. He was part of the Berlinale Talents Campus (2007), the Eave Producers Workshop (2014), and the “Less is More” Workshop (2019). His shorts, documentaries, and feature films have won prestigious international awards. His debut feature film Secret Ingredient had over 90 film festival selections, was released at HBO Europe, and was the Macedonian submission for the 2019 Oscars.
