Eva Nova

Eva Nova, a washed up movie star, struggles with her alcohol addiction, while trying to fix past mistakes for which she had to pay the price. Her reunion with her son, whom she abandoned for the sake of her career, will be the most traumatic and cleansing experience of her life. Drawing inspiration from an old interview of his with the French actress Annie Girardot, the director draws a sensitively realized portrait and, through it, touches upon issues such as the passing of time, family bonds, second chances and the power of forgiveness.

Marko Skop

He was born in Presov, Slovakia. He studied journalism and Mass Media at Bratislava’s Comenius University, and Documentary Film Direction at Bratislava’s Academy of the Performing Arts. Eva Nova is his fiction feature debut.
