A Heavy Heart

How can you discover the heart of a man under the skin? What about his muscles? Herbert, an ex-boxer, a trainer and an outcast, is suddenly confronted with a turning point in his life and decides that he only has one chance to fix his past mistakes. In his first feature, Thomas Stuber films in an accurate, crystal clear manner the challenges, personal struggles and inner landscapes of his characters.

Thomas Stuber

He was born in Leipzig in 1981. After graduating from high school, he completed a number of different internships and assistantships in the film industry. From 2004 to 2011, he studied Stage Direction at the Film akademie BadenWurttemberg. While completing his studies, he received a number of awards for his short film Es geht uns Gut (2006) and for Teenage Angst. Teenage Angst was also invited to screen at Berlin International Film Festival in the Perspektive Deutsches Kino section in 2008. His graduating film Of Dogs and Horses won the Student Oscar in Silver as well as the German Short Film Award. His film A Heavy Heart was nominated for the German Screenplay Award.
