Gabriel decides to depart for a long trip before he starts his PhD in a prestigious American university. Travelling light, only with a backpack and a suitcase full of dreams, he arrives in Kenya, where he will try to live like a local, and not as a white tourist... A letter to an old classmate, a film dedicated to a real character from the director’s school years, a documentary with many fiction elements (or vice versa) takes us on a trip to the heart of travelling: a man’s confrontation with freedom.
