The Peach Thief

Kradetzat na praskovi

In a Bulgarian town, as World War I rages on, a Serbian war prisoner falls in love with the wife of a Bulgarian colonel. The couple, slipping through wire obstacles and caught in the crossfire, will do everything possible to preserve their love against the irrationality of war. Subtle and lyrical, The Peach Thief is a touching humanistic story and remains today one of the most recognizable films coming out of Bulgaria.
