Soldiers. Story from Ferentari

Soldații. Poveste din Ferentari

58th TIFF: Greek Premiere

Adi, a shy and introverted 40-year-old anthropologist who recently got dumped by his girlfriend, moves to Ferentari, the most notorious outcast neighbourhood in Bucharest. He plans to write a study on manele music, the pop music of the Roma community, and while researching his subject he meets Alberto, an ex-convict who promises to help him. Little by little their casual affair grows into a modern Romeo and Juliet love story, in an unprecedented setting.
