A single mother who tries to nourish her baby working in occasional jobs becomes the caretaker of a senior woman. When she gets evicted from her apartment, she moves in with the old lady and struggles to keep her alive. A universal story about morality in times of financial and social degradation, which focuses on the relationship between two women who fight for survival with different means.

Gentian Koçi

Gentian Koci is a director, screenwriter, and film producer from Tirana, Albania. His short films and documentaries have been selected and awarded at many important festivals. He was internationally recognized for his documentary Not a Carwash (2012), which world-premiered in official selection at Hot Docs International Documentary Film Festival, and was nominated for the Special Jury Award at Sheffield Doc/Fest and met with great critical acclaim. Gentian Koci was part of the Berlinale Talent Campus 2011. In 2017, Gentian Koci presented his first feature film Daybreak, which he wrote, directed, and produced. Daybreak had the world premiere at the Sarajevo International Film Festival in the main competition, where the main actress was awarded Heart of Sarajevo - Best Actress. Since its world premiere, Daybreak has been selected in more than 50 important film festivals all over the world, gathering many awards and receiving very positive reviews from the most important specialized film magazines. Daybreak was the official Albanian submission for the Academy Awards - Oscars 2018. Gentian Koci second feature film A Cup of Coffee and New Shoes On (2022), had its world premiere in the main competition at Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, its Nordic premiere at Goteborg Film Festival, the German premiere at CineVision Competition at 40th Filmfest Munchen. He is currently in the development phase of his next project, Cold Sun.
