The Hellenic Parliament presents its “Human Values” award to an International Competition section film. The members of the Jury are Aris Fatouros, director and Program Consultant at the Hellenic Parliament TV; Vasilis Douvlis, Head of the Program Department at the Hellenic Parliament TV; and Kostas Dimos, Program Collaborator at the Hellenic Parliament TV).
Aris Fatouros was born in Lefkas island in 1962. He studied Physics, Political Science and Film Direction in Athens. He began his career in education and went on to film and television production and directing. His films have been awarded in Greece and abroad. He created the “microfilm” project for the Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation (ERT) which produced more than 250 short films (2000-2022). He also created the inter-university project “Diaplasis” with a production of more than 160 short student documentaries (2015-2021). He was a European curriculum advisor and has served as a jury member at many film festivals. He is a founding member of the Hellenic Parliament TV, where he still works as a Program Advisor.
Vassilis Douvlis was born in Ioannina and studied Literature and Film in Athens and Paris. He worked in education and taught scriptwriting and film directing at various film schools. He is Head of Program Department at Hellenic Parliament Television. His short film The Veteran, the documentary Affection to the People and the feature films The Homecoming and 18 have been screened and awarded at international film festivals.
Kostas Dimos was born in Arta in 1961 and studied at the University of Pavia. From 1980 onwards he worked at many radio stations (RAI3) as a music producer. In 1994 he began his career in television. He worked as an executive at ANT1 (and coordinator of ANT1 Balkans) and Alpha TV, as a program coordinator at ERT from 2004, and at the TV station of the Hellenic Parliament from 2016. He was a member of the Greek Film Center (GFC) for three years, and represented ERT SA at the General Assembly of the Thessaloniki International Film Festival (2004-2009) and the General Assembly of the GFC (2007-2010). During the same period he was President of the “Microfilm” Committee and a member of all the film committees of ERT SA. He has organized numerous concerts.
