The Truffle Hunters

The Truffle Hunters

61st TIFF: Greek premiere

Deep in the forest of Piedmont, Northwest Italy, a handful of youthful old men hunt for one of the world’s most expensive ingredients: the white Alba truffle. Guided by a centuries-long tradition passed on from generation to generation, they are the last of their kind, carrying on a vanishing way of life. A fascinating documentary that takes a peek into a secretive fairy tale land, where one can find the rare delicacy of a simple yet meaningful life.
