Sister

A mother and her two daughters are struggling to get by in modern-day Bulgaria. Rayna along with her older sister and their mother make figurines and utensils sold to travelers and passers-by. Spending her days in the ramshackle workshop, Rayna is constantly pinning lies, yearning to splash some color in her otherwise dull and grey life. Soon enough, though, her fabrications begin to cross all moral lines, jeopardizing her family’s well being. A harsh film combining social portrait, psychological thriller and family drama in a tale that lies its way to the truth.
