First of All, Felicia

After the annual visit to her family in Bucharest, Felicia’s departure day is, as always, very hectic: Felicia starts packing too late, her mother makes an elaborate breakfast, and her father fears that he will not live to see his daughter again. On top of that, Iulia calls to say she will not be in time to give her sister a lift to the airport. In the taxi, stuck in Bucharest traffic, Felicia and her mother realize she will never be in time for her flight. While trying to rebook her ticket, Felicia is confronted with her two families: her ex-husband and her child in Holland, expecting her to come back in time; and her father and sister, who are both trying to be helpful in their own special ways. After booking the flight for the next day, Felicia returns to her parents’ home. Mother is preparing dinner; the family reunites – everyone enjoys Felicia’s presence, as if she had just arrived back from Holland.

Razvan Radulescu

He was born in 1969 in Romania and studied literature and opera directing in Bucharest. In 1999 he started writing screenplays, among which the award winning Stuff and Dough (Cristi Puiu), Niki and Flo (Lucian Pintilie), The Paper will be Blue and Boogie (Radu Muntean), as well as the internationally acclaimed The Death of Mr. Lazarescu(Cristi Puiu). He also worked as a script consultant for Cristian Mungiu’s 4 Months, 3 Weeks, 2 Days.

Melissa de Raaf

She was born in 1976 in the Netherlands. She is currently studying art theory, philosophy and media art in Germany. She is an independent curator of experimental film programs and exhibitions in the Netherlands, Germany and Russia and she works with visual artists, film- and documentary-makers on productions as writer and director. She has written several screenplays, including Shelter (Dragomir Sholev) and Clean (Sylvie Michel Cassey).
