Winter Boy

Le Lyceen

63rd TIFF: Greek Premiere

Lucas is 17 when his teenage world is suddenly shattered. He views his life as a wild animal in need of taming. Between a brother settled in Paris and a mother with whom he now lives alone, Lucas will have to have to fight to rediscover hope and love. Christophe Honoré’s most autobiographical film to date returns to his favorite themes of family, sexuality, and mortality, featuring Paul Kircher as a young man who looks for comfort in all the wrong places, in a mesmerizing performance. A lesson on the transformative human ability to turn anger into awareness and trauma into power.
