The great love affair of Vasilis Theocharakis with painting and his devotion to it for over half a century, when his talent for painting was expressed from his hardship-filled childhood, made his father worry as he intended for his son to become a business man, knowing his business savvy. He went through a lot of difficulties working ceaselessly in both the business world until the early afternoon and his art – painting – during the afternoon and into the night, until he found a balance within his soul.
