PFUI – PISH, PSHAW / PRR

This work deals with the urgent business of marine oil spills. The video’s fictional script, is loosely based on interviews with the longest-serving employee of Environmental Protection Engineering SA. The two screen work features an eclectic sample of his prolific VHS archive, filmed over 40 years, alongside imagery where model sets of cruise ship interiors, ferromagnetic mussels and molecular structures are covered in oil paints and filmed in tanks. It also features sonar imaging of the unsalvageable Sea Diamond.
