Dimitris Stavrakas

He was born in 1938 and studied Film in Athens. From 1958 to 1963 he worked as an assistant director on many Greek films, while at the same time and until 1963 he also took up film criticism and wrote articles on cinema for the Epitheorisi Technis art journal and the Dimokratiki Allagi newspaper. He then went on to study Sociology in Paris and at the same time worked for a French film production company. In 1975 he returned to Greece and worked in television and journalism.
