Honorary screening in the memory of Michel Dimopoulos

The Festival dedicates a special screening in memory of its former artistic director (from 1991 to 2005), who breathed new life into the institution, broadening its horizons and granting it its international scope. The Spirit of the Beehive, an iconic film by Victor Erice (one of Michel Demopoulos’s favorite auteurs) will be screened as part of the tribute to Ghosts. Journalists Vena Georgakopoulou and Maria Katsounaki, together with film critic Christos Mitsis and historian Mark Mazower, will discuss with the Festival team about Michel and his legacy in cinema. The family of Michel Demopoulos will also attend the screening.
