The 65th Thessaloniki International Film Festival honors the work of unconventional, pioneering, and bold filmmaker Panos H. Koutras, one of the most important voices of Greek cinema. The director will be awarded an honorary Golden Alexander for his lifetime contribution to the seventh art, before the screening of The Attack of the Giant Moussaka (1999) in a digitally restored anniversary edition, marking 25 years since its first release. The award is part of a major tribute to the internationally renowned Greek director, which includes five feature films, as well as five short films, which will be screened for the first time for the Greek audience.
