STELIOS: FULLY ACCESSIBLE SCREENING
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 7
19:30
Αίθουσα Σταύρος Τορνές
The biggest Greek box-office success of recent years will be screened with universal accessibility, with the support of Alpha Bank, as part of the Festival’s major tribute to the work of Yorgos Tsemberopoulos. The acclaimed filmmaker’s most recent feature, written by Katerina Bei, chronicles the remarkable life of the prolific Greek singer Stelios Kazantzidis. From his humble beginnings as the child of Pontic Greek refugees to his rise as one of Greece’s most beloved folk singers, Kazantzidis’s story unfolds through hardship, passion, and triumph. Music, love, family, friends, fishing, creativity, people of the night, hardcore fans, and intense conflicts come together to create the mosaic of his life.
Admission is free, on issue of a zero-value ticket
