Events by the Greek Society of Cinematographers

The Greek Society of Cinematographers will host a series of events within the framework of the 60th Thessaloniki International Film Festival. On Friday 1 November (13:00–16:00), a masterclass on photography and lighting will be held at Warehouse C, by Kostis Gkikas GSC, accompanied by a presentation of the SONY Venice Digital Cinema Camera. On Saturday 2 November (10:30–13:00) colorist Grigoris Arvanitis will showcase color grading techniques, under the guidance of the cinematographer Kostis Gkikas GSC. On Tuesday 4 November (15:00), the documentary No Subtitles Necessary: László and Vilmos, directed by the Greek-American cinematographer James Chressanthis ASC-GSC, will be screened at Takis Kanellopoulos theater, followed by a video-call discussion with the director/cinematographer. On Friday 8 November (14:00), the cinematographers of the Greek films taking part in the competition section (Zoe Manta, Christina Moumouri, Christos Karamanis GSC) will come together in a meeting-discussion. The discussion will be coordinated by cinematographer Panagiotis Salapatas GSC.
