Theo Angelopoulos’ debut film Reconstruction (1970) becomes the heart and soul of this year’s Festival, as a pivotal notion that consolidates and expresses the way we see, grasp, and experience the world that surrounds us. The Festival’s main art exhibition explores the different variations and versions of representation. In this context, twelve Greek and international visual artists draw inspiration from Angelopoulos’s work and contemplate on the form, content and boundaries associated with the process of representation.
