The original visual art installation "Takis Kanellopoulos: Dreaming of an Excursion" (curation: Manolis Kranakis, film critic - visuals & video: Nikos Pastras), showcases within the framework of the 64th Thessaloniki International Film Festival, becomes a permanent exhibit at the Thessaloniki Cinema Museum, honoring the memory of the city's most renowned film director. The installation can be described as an audiovisual capsule that encompasses the obsessions, the anthropogeography and the symbolisms that rendered Takis Kanellopoulos of the most iconic and influential figures in the history of Greek cinema. Thessaloniki International Film Festival unlocks Kanellopoulos' singular universe, introducing to the younger cinephile generations his films, the Macedonian inland, illuminated like never before in his work, the music score of his films bearing the signature of top-notch composers such as Nikos Mamangkakis, Eleni Karaindrou and Giorgos Hatzinasios, as well as his short stories, as interpreted by famous actors and writers such as Zyranna Zateli, Sofia Kokkali, Zacharias Mavroeidis and Kanellopoulos' muse, Emilia Ypslanti.
