Interpretations and allegoric tales of gender-based violence, firsthand testimonies on the refugee issue, sci-fi love-stories, journalistic journeys into incidents that shocked Greek society, fairy-tales endowed with symbolisms and messages, as well as podcasts that safeguard Greek cultural heritage, are unveiled at the Podcast Competition Section, made up of 14 Greek-speaking and 2 English-speaking podcasts.
Thessaloniki International Film Festival presents its podcast section, which celebrated its premiere at the recent hybrid 23rd Thessaloniki Documentary Festival and proved to be a blowout success. It should be stressed out that TIFF was among the first film festivals on a worldwide scale to include a podcast section in its program, delving into the affinities between this new form of art and cinema.
A total of 10 podcasts will be showcased at the Out of Competition Podcast section of the 62nd Thessaloniki Film Festival. Breathtaking interviews, homages to movies and film directors, children’s fairy-tales, as well as glances at the contemporary visage of our world, compose a multi-layered audio mosaic.
