The narrators of TV and cinema take center stage at the tribute of the 64th Thessaloniki International Film Festival, titled Storytelling. Top writers and screenwriters share their experiences, thoughts and secrets through a series of masterclasses, open to the public.

The goal of Storytelling is to create a bridge connecting film and television screenwriting.

Within the “Storytelling” framework, Meet the Future, AGORA’s successful section, features young screenwriters from Greece. Meet the Future was first launched in 2019 and features young Greek professionals from various facets of film production: until now the focus has been on directors, directors of photography, editors, actors.

This year the Festival selected screenwriters from the younger generation, whose films have participated in the official program of an a-list festival abroad (Cannes, Venice, Berlin, Locarno, Karlovy Vary, San Sebastian, London, Rotterdam, New York, Tribeca, Toronto, Sundance, Clermont-Ferrand), or have competed at the Thessaloniki IFF or have been awarded for their screenplay at the Drama ISFF or the Hellenic Film Academy. The participants have a television project in development and will present it to the industry guests of the Agora, aiming at networking and collaborations.

Here is extensive program with masterclasses by serialized storytelling experts, panel discussions with local and international series professionals and other networking opportunities.
