Portrait of My Father in Times of War

Against a backdrop of the German occupation, the film tells the love story between my father, an assistant at the mysterious German Scientific Institute in Athens – in actual fact a refuge for fighters of the Resistance – and Nelly, a student at the School of Fine Arts. The film also draws the portrait of their friend Rudolf Fahrner, founder of the Institute, a comrade of the Stauffenberg Brothers, and one of the few conspirators of the assassination attempt on Hitler, on 20 July 1944, to survive the repression that followed.
