Second Life: From a Thorn Comes a Rose

Dimitris is alive thanks to a heart donor, Nicolas, a young man killed in a car accident. Emmanuel is alive thanks to an unknown liver donor, who died prematurely. Both were given a second chance in life, thanks to the selflessness of the donors’ families and the progress of transplant surgery. But Greece ranks among the lowest places in the European Union in organ donation. Actor Yorgos Pyrpasopoulos meets with relatives of donors, transplant recipients and surgeons to discuss the noble act of organ donation and the problems of the health care system.
