Downsizing

Downsizing

58th TIFF: Greek Premiere

A small film of great caliber, which suggests an unbelievable scenario as the antidote to the world’s population burst: what would happen if some Norwegian scientists found a way to downsize the average human being? Alexander Payne, the expert of “small” narratives, focuses on the story of a couple that wishes to integrate into a society of miniature-people in an effort to raise its standard of living, and he enunciates a sardonic comment on the utopias dreamt by common men.
