3rd STUDENT FILM FESTIVAL “LET’S GO TO THE CINEMA” AWARDS – CLOSING CEREMONY

On Saturday, May 10, during the 3rd Student Film Festival “Let’s Go To The Cinema”, the voice and applause of children united all of Greece and the Greek community of Bavaria. Athens, Thessaloniki, Ioannina, Syros’ Hermoupolis, and Munich were the cities in which the films created by the Lilliputian filmmakers were screened, and in which the awards were handed out on the same evening.

Hundreds of students and their accompanying parents, teachers and friends attended the awards ceremony, which was broadcast live by ET-1. Government ministers, cultural agencies and organizations were distributed among the 5 venues where the hosts were Dimitra Papadopoulou (Athens), Thodoris Atherides (Thessaloniki), Rica Vagiani (Ioannina), Hierocles Michailides (Syros), Yannis Zouganelis (Munich).

The Minister of Education, Mr. Euthimiou handed out the Best Film Award for Attica, the Minister for the Aegean Mr. Sifounakis the Best Film Award for Syros, the actor Mr. Lazopoulos the Best Film Award for Ioannina, the under-Secretary of Foreign Affairs Mr. Magriotis the Best Film Award for Munich, the Minister of Culture Mr. Venizelos the Best Film Award for Thessaloniki, while the Pan-Hellenic Award was given out by Mr. Lazopoulos, present in the area which won it, Ipeiros.

Present at the … fivefold ceremony among others, aside from the members of the Jury (misters Hatzinikolaou, Mikroutsikos, Vougias, Karidis, Fasoulas, Lazopoulos, Andreadakis) were, the President of Parliament Mr. Apostolos Kaklamanis, the Director of the Greek Film Center Mr. Diagoras Chronopoulos, the president of the Greek Director’s Guild Mr. Harry Papadopoulos and many other cultural and political agencies.
