Vangelis Serdaris

He was born in 1938 and studied Film, while he also took courses in Politics and Economics. He worked for many years as an assistant director. Since 1969 he has been working as an independent director and producer in cinema. He won the Best Director award for his film Hold-Up in Athens. For his feature, Vassiliki, he won the Greek Association of Film Critics Award and the Best Music Award at the Thessaloniki FF, as well as the National Film Awards for Best Film, Best Screenplay, Best Music, and Best Actor, as well as the Best Actor Award at the Cairo and the Mar Del Plata IFF. He has also worked in television, mainly directing documentaries.
