Within the context of the Agora Talks of the 65th Thessaloniki Film Festival, the discussion titled “The Human Factor” was held on Tuesday November 5th at MOMus-Thessaloniki Museum of Photography, in partnership with the European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs (EAVE). The panelists were: Amanda Livanou, producer and founder of Neda Film, Vanya Rainova, producer at Portokal, and Ada Solomon, producer at Hi Film Productions.

The panelists were: Josef Kullengård, Head of Industry at Göteborg Film Festival, Pantelis Panteloglou, Artistic Director at Olympia Film Festival for children and young people and President of the European Children's Film Association and Apostolia Papaioannou, director at Mediterranean Film Institute.

The press conference with Matt Dillon took place on Monday November 4th, at Stavros Tornes theater. The interview was moderated by Yorgos Krassakopoulos, the Festival’s Head of Programming. Matt Dillon shared his thoughts on cinema, acting, art, the adventure of directing, other forms of art, as well as Yorgos Lanthimos.

The opening of the visual installation Interfears took place on Monday, November 4th, at MOMus–Experimental Center for the Arts (Warehouse B1-Port of Thessaloniki), attended by  Danish artist Jesper Just, to whom the 65th Thessaloniki International Film Festival’s hosts a tribute, as well as protagonist Matt Dillon, who honors this year’s Festival edition with his presence.

The Film Forward International Competition Section presents the work of new, daring filmmakers who challenge our relationship with storytelling and aspire to renegotiate it, beyond the boundaries of film genres. The films compete for the Golden Alexander – Best Feature Film Award (8,000 euros cash prize) and the Silver Alexander – Best Director Award (4,000 euros cash prize).
