Τhe official posters of the 59th Thessaloniki International Film Festival, designed by Beetroot.

Spanish filmmaker Jaime Rosales, Dutch director Nanouk Leopold and Chilean visual artists-filmmakers Cristóbal León and Joaquín Cociña will be honored in the tributes of the 59^th Thessaloniki International Film Festival. The filmmakers will attend the festival to present and discuss their work with the Thessaloniki audiences.

The countdown begins for the 59^th Thessaloniki International Film Festival (November 1-11, 2018) and it is with great pleasure that we announce that Alfonso Cuarón’s latest much-anticipated film Roma, winner of the Golden Lion award in the 75^th Venice Film Festival, will be presented in Greece in a special festival screening during the 59^th TIFF.

The TDF - Thessaloniki Documentary Festival is an international Festival of films and videos, taking place annually in the month of March in Thessaloniki, Greece.  The 21^st Thessaloniki Documentary Festival is to be held from the 1^st to the 10^th of March 2019.

It is with great pleasure that the Thessaloniki Film Festival announces that the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival, held every March for twenty years in Thessaloniki, Greece, paves the way to the Oscars® for the film that wins TDF’s Golden Alexander Best Documentary – International Competition award.
