Thessaloniki International Film Festival awarded an honorary Golden Alexander for his overall contribution to the art of cinema to the beloved creator Yorgos Tsemberopoulos, in a heart warming event that took place on Thursday, November 6th at the Olympion theatre, before the screening of the film The Enemy Within. The Golden Alexander was awarded by Dennis Iliadis, director and screenwriter, Katerina Bei, screenwriter and vice-president of the Festival's Board of Directors, and Giannis Tsiros, screenwriter.

AGORA Boost: March 8-12, 2026
The AGORA Boost (March 8-12), offers consultation and training sessions to emerging filmmakers based in Greece, during which Greek and international professionals offer their guidance to directors and producers with projects in different stages of development or production.
The final selection features up to five standout documentaries, chosen from the shortlisted projects of the Thessaloniki Pitching Forum and AGORA Docs in Progress. Over the course of five days, participants will dive into tailored sessions with industry professionals, sharpening their financing strategies, refining their narratives, and unlocking their market potential.
Through group workshops and one-on-one meetings, teams will receive targeted feedback, expand their networks, and strengthen their international positioning. The AGORA Boost will offer teams hands-on and personalised support while preparing them in their first steps towards opening up their project to international collaborators.
Α selected project will receive the Paradiddle Pictures Guidance Award and one participant will receive the new Crew United Prize, a 5-year free Premium membership subscription on Crew United, the leading online networking platform connecting audiovisual professionals in Europe.
