10th TDF: JUST TALKING PROGRAM

JUST TALKING

ELECTRA PALACE HOTEL Ground Floor, Excelsior Room, daily from 16.00 - 17.00

Entrance by accreditation only

“Just Talking” is a side event organized by the 10th Thessaloniki Documentary FestivalImages of the 21st Century, which brings together filmmakers and industry professionals from various parts of the world.

Every afternoon, the TDF invites its guests to an open, relaxed discussion, thus giving documentary professionals – Greek and international –the opportunity to know one another on a personal level, to exchange views and share experiences.

Discussion groups of filmmakers, journalists and buyers will be formed on a daily basis between 16.00 and 17.00. The sessions will revolve around various issues that concern documentary filmmakers, in a friendly and informal atmosphere. Apart from the groups, all other accredited festival attendees may join the sessions and either simply listen or participate. Right after the “Just Talking” sessions and in the same space, the TDF “Happy Hour” event will take place from 17.00 – 18.00, to further provide all festival guests with the opportunity to meet each other.

“Just Talking” was established for the first time in the 8th Thessaloniki Documentary Festival. It turned out to be a very lucrative event, as it succeeded in creating a platform of communication between filmmakers, expanding the borders of creativity and forging collaborations.

English is the official working language for the sessions, which will be informally moderated by the event coordinator, as well as members of the press and documentary filmmakers.
