24th THESSALONIKI DOCUMENTARY FESTIVAL // 10-20/3/2022

Submissions open for the podcast section of the 24th TDF

-- We would like to inform you that the submission window for the Podcast section of the 24th Thessaloniki Documentary Festival is extended to Wednesday, January 26 2022, at 5pm, due to delays generated by the health and safety measures imposed for the containment of the pandemic. --

Initiating a new collaboration that offers a substantial scholarship, the Podcast section of the 24th Thessaloniki Documentary Festival is happy to invite podcasters from Greece and abroad to submit their works.

Thessaloniki Festival was one of the first festivals on a worldwide scale that included podcasts into its program. This year, besides the Best Podcast Award, accompanied by a cash prize of 2,000 euros, TIFF, in collaboration with the ENS Louis Lumière and the French Institute of Greece, bestows the scholarship prize “ENS Louis Lumière – French Institute of Greece Award for Young Audio Documentary Creators”. The award’s winner will have the chance to attend the 6-week English-speaking Sound Documentary International Summer Programme hosted by ENS Louis Lumière and addressed to young professionals of the audiovisual field (creators of blogs, podcasts or any other audio project).

The Podcast section of the 24th Thessaloniki Documentary Festival is divided into two sub-sections: the Competition section and the Out of Competition section. The podcasts selected to take part will be showcased at the 24th Thessaloniki Documentary Festival, which will be held in March 10-20, 2022. The podcasts submitted must celebrate their world premiere at the 24th TDF and can be either Greek-speaking or English-speaking.
