The submission window for the Podcast section of the 64th Thessaloniki International Film Festival is now open

 

The Thessaloniki International Film Festival is happy to invite podcasters from Greece and abroad to submit their works at the Podcast section of the 64th TiFF (2-12/11/2023).

The Podcast section of the Thessaloniki Film Festival includes:

 

 

The podcasts that will be selected for the Podcast Section will be presented during the 64th Thessaloniki International Film Festival (November 2 – 12, 2023), online and in the Podcast Room that will be formed especially for this purpose.

Greek-speaking and English-speaking podcasts are eligible for submission, provided that they celebrate their world premiere at the 64th Thessaloniki International Film Festival and are not uploaded on any public or subscription platforms up until the end of the Festival (November 12, 2023).

The Podcast section of the 64th Thessaloniki International Film Festival is open to:

All podcasts should have a duration of 20-30 minutes.

The new Nexus section will host podcasts that explore our relationship with the world, the human bonds, the webs that we weave in our daily lives. 

This year, once again, the Festival is teaming up with the ENS Louis Lumière and the French Institute of Greece, as the participants in the Podcast sections of the 64th Thessaloniki International Film Festival and the 26th Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival (March 2024). The recipient of this award will have the chance to attend the six-week Sound Documentary International Summer Programme hosted by ENS Louis Lumière, addressed to young and upcoming professionals of the audiovisual field (creators of blogs, podcasts or any other audio project).  The six-week programme, carried out in English, will be hosted in France, in summer 2024 France, whereas the exact dates will be announced in the near future. The jury that will bestow the award will be composed of top-notch professionals of the field, handpicked by ENS Louis Lumière and the French Institute of Greece.

All candidates for the ENS Louis Lumière – French Institute of Greece Award must meet the following criteria:

- Aged 25-35

- Permanent residents of Greece

- Fluent speakers of the English language

All podcasters taking part in the Podcast Competition Section or the “Nexus” section of the 64th Thessaloniki International Film Festival and the 26th Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival are eligible for the scholarship award.

All candidates must submit the respective application form, available on the Festival’s website, and submit it along with the necessary justification documents.

The Award will be bestowed at the closing ceremony of the 26th Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival.
