A bilingual special edition that captures the vision and brilliant
professional trajectory of Dimitri Eipides, the founder of the
Thessaloniki Documentary Festival and former director of the
institution, whose name was inextricably linked with art-house cinema.
Great world cinema personalities, associates and collaborators of the
festival outline his personality in a book that maps the key stops in
his life and career in five continents, starting from the 1960s, and
presents invaluable visuals – artefacts from his personal archive,
which shed light into different areas of his work and mentality. The
publication is accompanied by original portraits created by seven
visual artists, following a commission by the Thessaloniki Film
Festival for this edition.
