The 4th Evia Film Project, Thessaloniki Film Festival’s green initiative, is landing on Agia Anna, Edipsos and Limni, from June 17th to June 21st, 2025, with the notion of Greek summer at its thematic core. A selection of Greek and international films, classics and latest releases, fiction films and documentaries, urge us to rediscover Greek summer in the screenings held in the open-air cinemas Apollon in Edipsos and Elymnion in Limni, as well as in the Fishing Shelter in Agia Anna.
The Evia Film Project has scheduled a series of special music events in Edipsos and Limni on Saturday June 21st, whereas the festival will call it a wrap with the screening of the box-office smash hit Stelios by Yorgos Tsemberopoulos, which renders homage to the legendary Greek singer Stelios Kazantzidis, in the presence of the director, the producers and members of the film's cast and crew.
Through meetings with acclaimed industry professionals in the unique landscape of Northern Evia, an insightful excursion to nature, led by WWF Greece and a wellbeing workshop and activities, the Agora of the 4th Evia Film Project, the Thessaloniki Film Festival’s green initiative, adopts a holistic and innovative approach, interweaving cinematic creation with a green stance.
Film director and animator Fokion Xenos, drawing inspiration from the 4th Evia Film Project’s thematic core, has created a series of summer images for the visual identity of this year’s edition, making a nod to the time-honored trademark old school tourist posters.
