Within the context of the Agora Talks of the 65th Thessaloniki Film Festival, the discussion titled “Audiovisual Producers' Association of Greece presents Creative Greece 2.0 - Innovating Solutions for Lasting Challenges” was held on Sunday November 3rd at MOMus-Thessaloniki Museum of Photography. The panelists were: Fenia Cossovitsa, producer and founder of Blonde S.A. and SAPOE President, Konstantinos Kontovrakis, producer and SAPOE General Secretary and Walid Said, portfolio manager in Head Gear Films.

Opening of the Festival's main exhibition “We, the Monster”

On Saturday, November 2nd, the opening of the main exhibition of the 65th Thessaloniki International Film Festival, We, the Monster, took place at the MOMus-Experimental Center for the Arts. The exhibition is inspired by the grand tribute of this year’s edition “We, the Monster”. The Festival commissioned two up-and-coming visual artists, Malvina Panagiotidi and David Sampethai, to create artworks in constant dialogue with each other, but also with the 22 films that will be screened as part of the Festival’s grand tribute.

A press conference with Juliette Binoche and Ralph Fiennes took place on November 2nd, on the occasion of the screening of their latest film The Return, an innovative film adaptation of the last rhapsody from Homer's Odyssey. The panel also featured the film’s director, Uberto Pasolini, as well as its co-producer, Konstantinos Kontovrakis.

The discussion “IP as a Tool for Fostering Innovation & Social Change” was held within the framework of the Agora Talks of the 65th TIFF, on Saturday November 2nd, at MOMus-Thessaloniki Museum of Photography, in collaboration with MIDPOINT Institute. The speakers were Emilie Blézat (CEO, Producer, IP Creator - Dark Riviera) and Hyppe Salmi (Executive producer - Yle Drama). Honorary Golden Alexander to Juliette Binoche and Ralph Fiennes

The 65th TIFF welcomed two of most prolific stars of contemporary cinema, radiant Juliette Binoche and gifted Ralph Fiennes, on Friday, November 1st, at Olympion theater. The two renowned actors received the Festival’s honorary Golden Alexander award prior to the screening of the monumental film The English Patient (1996). On Saturday, November 2nd, the audience of the 65th TIFF will have the opportunity to enjoy the new film starring Juliette Binoche and Ralph Fiennes, The Return, in a screening attended by both the film's stars as well as director, Uberto Pasolini.

Matt Dillon, one of the most iconic figures of contemporary American cinema, will also honor the 65th TIFF with a threefold presence. Matt Dillon will present his latest film Being Maria by Jessica Palud, where he portrays Marlon Brando, and will receive the Festival honorary Golden Alexander before the special screening of his directorial debut, City of Ghosts. Moreover, he will join the versatile Danish artist Jesper Just in the official opening of the visual installation Interfears, where he also stars.
