With 26 short and 5 feature films in his 40-year-old career, the magician-alchemist from Prague has created a true legend surrounding his name. The publication opens with a concise introductory text by Lefteris Adamidis, followed by the prominent “Decalogue” by Jan Svankmajer and intriguing interviews-conversations with the Czech filmmaker and theoretical texts-approaches of his work by Roger Cardinal and Giannis Vasiliadis. His feature films are reviewed by the director himself and by acclaimed Greek and international film critics, while the detailed documentation of all his short films is also remarkable. A small gem, exceptionally edited by Babis Aktsoglou who also signs the bio-filmography of the filmmaker.
