On Saturday 6th, July the 3rd Evia Film Project called it a wrap, the green initiative of the Thessaloniki Film Festival. The five-day celebration of green cinema included, among other things, film screenings, open discussions, activities for film professionals from all over the world and guided tours. Katerina Bei, beloved screenwriter of great cinematic hits such as The Murderess, Eftyhia, as well as TV hits such as Remember When, etc., delivered a masterclass in Agia Anna concerning the question of how easy it is to put your thoughts on paper and how realistic it is to believe that’s enough. She spoke on the collaboration between a screenwriter, a film director, and a producer, while comparing the similarities and differences between the scripts written for the small and the big screen.

Emin Alper, one of the most significant Turkish filmmakers of our time, visited Northern Evia for the screening of his film Burning Days, which won the Fischer Audience Award for a film in the “Balkan Survey” section of the 63rd Thessaloniki International Film Festival.

On Thursday 4th, July, the films Underwonder, produced by Cosmote TV and directed by Kostas Karydas, the short film Nothing Holier than a Dolphin by Isabella Margara, were screened at Elimnion, in Limni, in the presence of the films’ directors, as well as The Weight of Water by Kathryn Bigelow.

On the occasion of the Μixed Ρeality (MR) project Paradise Lost, currently in the development stage, the interdisciplinary artist Yolanda Markopoulou delivered a masterclass, within the framework of a specialized workshop, specifically designed for the students of the Department of Digital Arts and Cinema of the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, based in Psachna, Evia.
