Paraphrasing a famous motto by Andy Warhol, who claimed that supermarkets are the museums of our era, a young woman director delivers an exquisite gallery of characters struggling to fit their anxieties on the same shelf with cereal and detergents, push their desires with the cart, and store their dreams in the deep freeze. The mechanical rhythm of a well-tuned everyday reality allows the workers’ voice to compose their own, unique melody.
