CROSSROADS aims at a strong selection of projects from the Mediterranean the Balkan and Visegrad countries, giving producers the opportunity to present their ideas to a number of potential financial partners during the 3-day event in Thessaloniki.
We are looking for feature-length fiction film projects that contain a link to the Mediterranean, the Balkan region or the Visegrad countries. They should be either produced or co-produced by a country within these regions or contain elements in the story that link them to these regions. Projects should have a producer attached and could be in all stages of pre-production. Our main focus in the selection procedure will be on projects that present a high possibility of being realized, combining this quality with artistic elements.
Countries that are eligible to submit are: Albania, Algeria, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Egypt, France, FYROM, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Malta, Montenegro, Morocco, Palestine, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, Spain, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey.
All submissions must be received by July 31st, 2017.
By then we need to receive the complete application package (1 hard copy and all the material by e-mail as well):
1. Complete application form (no need to send it in a hard copy, we only need the online registration form).
2. Synopsis of one paragraph.
3. Full script in English or French (the hard copy must be printed out in both sides of the paper)
4. Biography/filmography of the producer.
5. Biography/filmography of the director.
6. Director’s statement.
7. Budget topsheet, financing plan and a list of confirmed financing for the project (if available).
8. Rights agreement between the director and the producer or a letter from the director stating that the particular producer will be representing the project.
9. Previous Film of the director (PREFERABLY online in a secure link).
